As I mentioned in my blog I’m running The Blaydon Race tomorrow followed by some pacing at Watford on Saturday in the A race 5000m. I’ll then head to Stretford in Manchester where I’ll do the 1500m on Tuesday evening. I have had to organiser email me and there’s going to be a pretty fast race happening, with pace of 2:26 at the 1km mark. I’m hoping my body can hold together and hang onto that!

I’ll then settle down for 2 weeks and get some more work in before having a crack at a fast 3000m race, again in Stretford on a Tuesday evening. There I’ll be looking at trying to run low 7:50′s as the 3k type training has gone pretty well. If I get a decent 1500 in, I’ll be confident of a fast 3k being in the legs.

After that I’m looking at a 5000m race in Belgium but that’s a bit away yet and I’m still trying to sort an entry. That should take me nicely into the UK Championships at the end of July where I’ll be running the 5000m.
